I am instructed and authorized by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Irish Free State Government to take over from you all office effects, including furniture, papers and files of every description, and all correspondence to date.

I am also instructed and authorized to demand and receive from you moneys declared as balance on hands on the 31st December 1922.

I should be obliged if you will expedite the transfer to me of this balance and property.
