No. 95 NAI DFA 19/13

Letter from Seán Lester to Joseph P. Walshe (Dublin) (S. Gen. 1/82)

Geneva, 26 July 1932

A member of the British Delegation last week mentioned to me, apropos of an inquiry if the President himself would come to Geneva, that he had made a striking impression 'in quarters where it would be least expected', during the recent conversations. I inquired and was told my informant referred to Lord Hailsham, 'one of the strongest of the ?diehards?'.

[signed] Seán Lester
