No. 264 NAI DFA 14/100
Dublin, 26 April 1935
Your minute of the 23rd April1 concerning Professor Ernst Schultze.
At the present time, in view of the general trend of things in Germany, especially the attitude of the State towards Christianity, it would be better to continue to discourage German Professors from coming here. You could put him off by suggesting that the German Minister at Dublin usually arranges for such lectures. Herr von Kuhlmann is unlikely to try to arrange any lecture until the early winter.
