Dear Mr. Hemming,
I am now in a position to inform you that the Government of the Irish Free State would be prepared to contribute towards the cost - estimated at £620,000 per annum - of the proposed scheme of supervision of the land and sea frontiers of Spain as set out in Paper N.I.S. (36) 205, provided that all the other Governments represented on the Committee are prepared to participate in the scheme and that the scheme is accepted by the two parties concerned in Spain.
