I am directed by the Minister to refer to your minute (No. S.J. 10/11) of the 24th May1 containing further information on the prospects of Mr. Frank Ryan's release. The Minister wishes to express his appreciation of the care which you are continuing to devote to this case. You are aware of the great interest taken by him and by the Government in the safety of all the Irish prisoners in Spain and their anxiety for the success of the efforts being made in their behalf.
