EMIGRATION OF CATHOLIC CHILDREN TO AUSTRALIA:
Proposed State Assistance
Consideration was given to a memorandum, dated 22nd July, 19381, submitted by the Department of the Taoiseach, regarding a proposal by the Reverend Brother P.A. Conlon, Principal of the Christian Brothers Agricultural School, Tandon, Western Australia, for State aided migration of Catholic children to Australia.
It was decided that the Government could not support the scheme.
