Your tel. 869.1 Have been informed by Foreign Office that German authorities have informed them that they are not prepared to accept French intervention on behalf of Foreign Jews in France. The Foreign Office consequently suggest that you should arrange with German Government directly: once agreement has been arrived at they will facilitate departure so far as possible. They suggest that you should make sure of total number involved in 200 families
