Consideration was given to a request received from the delegation to the International Civil Aviation Conference in Chicago as to the question of negotiations with the United States of America for a bilateral agreement for a fixed term of years.
It was decided in principle that such negotiations might proceed and it was agreed that the detailed terms of the instructions to the delegation in regard thereto should be settled by the Taoiseach after consultation with the Minister for Industry and Commerce.
