Extract from minutes of a meeting of the Executive Council

DUBLIN, 3.45 pm, 21 April 1923

LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
The President reported that he had received a message from Mr. Curtis1 of the Colonial Office stating that the British Government wished to be informed as to what attitude on their part would be most helpful to the Free State in connection with its application for membership to the League of Nations, and suggesting that a note intimating the wishes of the Irish Government be addressed to each of the Colonial Governments and to the Imperial Government.

The matter was referred to the Minister of External Affairs for a report.
