Mr. de Valera duly received, and has given consideration to, your letter of the 10th October, 1945, in which you express a desire to be allowed to take up residence in this country. The Taoiseach has also had before him the letter which you sent him through the High Commissioner at Ottawa on the 1st April last.
He regrets very much that, in present circumstances, it is not possible to accede to your request.
