It was decided that the Department of External Affairs and the Department of Justice should examine and report to the Government on the position arising out of the inducements offered by means of newspaper advertisements to Irish citizens to take up employment in Great Britain and the steps which should be taken with a view to ensuring that the interests of workers emigrating in response to such advertisements are adequately safeguarded.
