There is naturally much feeling here about the trial of Archbishop Stepinac. Official statement condemning the trial and the verdict is under consideration. No decision has yet been reached. It would be useful to know what the Vatican feels regarding the utility and the wisdom of such statement(s) and also their opinion particularly about manner in which trial and the judgment can be most effectively impugned. Grateful early reply.
