Following consideration of a memorandum dated the 5th December, 1947, submitted by the Minister for External Affairs, relative to the United Nations' Conference on Trade and Employment which opened at Havana on the 21st November, 1947,1 it was agreed that instructions, as set out in paragraph 7 of the memorandum, should be given to the Irish delegation to the conference.

The international network of Editors of Diplomatic Documents was founded in 1988. Delegations from different parts of the world met for the first time in London in 1989.
