Following consideration of a memorandum dated the 16th December, 1948, submitted by the Minister for External Affairs, relative to enquiries addressed to him by the United States Minister in Dublin relative to the methods to be adopted for the utilisation of funds made available to this country under the European Recovery Programme,1 it was decided that the Minister for External Affairs should reply, unofficially, to the enquiries in the terms of the annexed schedule.

The international network of Editors of Diplomatic Documents was founded in 1988. Delegations from different parts of the world met for the first time in London in 1989.
