According to the records in the Passport Office we have, within (approx.) the last two years, issued 330 Passports to children to enable them to travel abroad for the purpose of adoption. In all these cases I can only recollect 3 in which the children were orphans – in all other cases they were illegitimate.
We have only kept a record of ‘adoption’ Passports since November 1950.
