As requested, I enclose herewith a curriculum vitae of the Ambassador to the Holy See which I hope will give the Taoiseach the information he requires.
The information appears to be rather sparse when one considers that his whole official life has been in this Department, but it is not possible, from his official file, to give details of all his activities. You may take it, however, that the Ambassador was, under his Ministers, mainly responsible for the growth and, if I may say so, the high prestige of the Department and its representatives abroad.

The international network of Editors of Diplomatic Documents was founded in 1988. Delegations from different parts of the world met for the first time in London in 1989.
