Vatican thinks useful the three resolutions (1) condemning excesses in Hungary (2) asking for withdrawal of Russian troops (3) asking that observers be sent. Vatican thinks resolutions useful and not doing more harm than good because they form principles of justice and freedom which are cornerstones of peace which is the purpose of UN. Vatican does not express opinion on new question of sending UN troops to Hungary.
