LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
It was decided that the Minister for External Affairs should attend the Extraordinary Assembly of the League of Nations commencing on the 8th instant, which had been convened in connection with the admission of Germany to membership of the League and to permanent membership of the Council.
Arising out of the possibility that application would be made by Poland and probably by Spain and Brazil, for permanent seats on the Council, the Minister's proposal that he should support those States which adopt the attitude that the question of the re-constitution of the Council should be postponed to the ordinary general assembly in September was approved.
