No. 23 NAI DT S4754/1

Letter from Diarmuid O'Hegarty to Geoffrey G. Whiskard (London)
(Copy)

Dublin, 23 August 1926

Dear Whiskard,

In reply to your letter of the 12th instant, the Irish Delegation to the Imperial Conference will be composed as follows:-

The President of the Executive Council,1
  The Minister for Justice,2
  The Minister for External Affairs,3
The Minister for Industry and Commerce,4
The High Commissioner in London,5 accompanied by The Secretary to the Executive Council.6

Mr. Kiernan,7 Secretary, High Commissioner's Office, will act as Secretary to the Delegation. As the President and other Ministers will, in all probability, have to return to Dublin at different times in connection with arrangements for the Dáil Session and other urgent matters the personnel of the Delegation may be liable to constant change.

It would be a great convenience to us if we had an idea as soon as possible of the order in which the subjects are likely to be discussed and the approximate dates so that timely notice may be available in case the attendance of any experts should be required.

Yours sincerely,
[initialled] D Ó hÉ
