Telegram from John J. Hearne to the Department of External Affairs (Dublin)

Geneva, 14 September 1937

President de Valera selected by nominations committee as a vice president of the 18th assembly and unanimously elected in plenary session this afternoon. Will therefore be a member of general committee which consists of the president of the assembly eight vice presidents and chairman of assembly committee. The general committee controls the procedure and supervises the whole work of the session.
