According¹ to an official announcement, Yugoslavia has re-established diplomatic relations with Italy and a Chargé d'Affaires is expected to arrive within a week to re-open the Legation. I should, therefore, like to be informed if the present Government of Yugoslavia is recognised by the Irish Government.

Neither the Russian nor the Polish Ambassadors informed this Legation of the opening of their Embassies here after the Armistice. Spain and Portugal are in the same category with Ireland. I have met the Soviet Ambassador frequently at diplomatic receptions and find him courteous enough, but the Polish Ambassador seems to be always absorbed in one thing or another when I am near although we have been introduced a couple of times. Perhaps the Chief of the Yugoslav Mission will follow the lead given by Moscow and Warsaw.
