No. 542  NAI DFA 419/44

Letter from Joseph P. Walshe to David Gray (Dublin)
(Confidential)

DUBLIN, 3 February 1945

Dear David,
We have now received a reply from the Chargé d'Affaires in Berlin to our enquiries about the Jewish internees in the German concentration camps at Oswiecim and Birkenau. The Chargé d'Affaires was informed by the German Foreign Office that these camps have been evacuated and the internees transferred to another more central camp.

Yours sincerely,
[stamped] (SIGNED) J.P. WALSHE
