Extract from minutes of a meeting of the Executive Council (C.2/48)

Dublin, 4 February 1924

BOUNDARY CONFERENCE.

The President reported on the visit of the delegation to London during the week ended the 2nd inst. in connection with the Boundary question and presented to the meeting a copy of proposals made by the British Government.1

It was arranged that the Minister for Finance2 should draft, for consideration by the Council, a note addressed to the British Government, intimating, with reasons stated, that the proposals are unacceptable to the Government of the Irish Free State. In addition each member of the Council is to prepare a memorandum embodying his views on the proposals, for consideration in conjunction with the draft reply.
