The Taoiseach submitted a draft reply to an Aide-mémoire which was presented to him by the British Ambassador on the 18th December, 1956.2
The reply was approved, subject to any amendments that might be decided upon by the Taoiseach after further consideration by him of suggestions which were made at the meeting.
The Royal Irish Academy's Documents on Irish Foreign Policy series has published an eBook of confidential correspondence on the 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations.
The international network of Editors of Diplomatic Documents was founded in 1988. Delegations from different parts of the world met for the first time in London in 1989.
