Letter from Liam Cosgrave to William H. Taft III (Dublin)
(Secret) (Copy)

Dublin, 2 May 1955

With reference to your letter of the 21st March, with which you enclosed a communication from Mr. Allen W. Dulles, Director, Central Intelligence Agency, suggesting the establishment of liaison between the Agency and our Intelligence Service, I am happy to inform you that, having consulted the authorities concerned here, I fully agree that such liaison may be established.

With regard to the procedure to be followed in this matter, I suggest that the Central Intelligence Agency representative should get directly in touch with Colonel R.J. Callanan, Director of Intelligence, Department of Defence, Parkgate, Dublin, who is aware of this decision.
